Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026 · Last updated: October 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what data Moonsys ("we," "us," "our"), operated by Adam Creative Studios, collects through the Moonsys Discord bot and the Moonsys dashboard at moonsys.xyz (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you and server administrators have.
1. Data We Collect
Moonsys is built to measure how a server grows, not to monitor what members say. We collect:
- Server data, via the Discord bot: the server (guild) ID and name, daily member count snapshots, and join/leave events with their timestamps.
- Aggregate activity totals, used to power the dashboard's activity-related insights. These are counts, not content.
- Account data, when you sign in to the dashboard with Discord: your Discord user ID, username, and avatar, provided to us by Discord's OAuth2 login flow, along with an access token used to maintain your session.
We do not read, store, or process message content, voice audio, or voice activity. We do not collect data from channels or servers the bot has not been added to.
2. How We Use Data
We use the data above to:
- Generate the growth graphs, trend-based projections, and insights shown on your dashboard;
- Authenticate you and maintain your dashboard session;
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including diagnosing technical issues;
- Communicate with you about the Service, such as early access updates, if you have requested to be contacted.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with data brokers or use it for third-party advertising.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, we process server and account data on the basis of: performance of a contract (providing the Service you or your server's administrator requested), and our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the Service. Where sign-in is involved, your authentication with Discord also reflects your consent to share the associated profile data with us for that purpose.
4. Discord's Role
Moonsys operates using the Discord API and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord Inc. Discord's own handling of your data is governed by Discord's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which apply independently of this one. If you administer a server, you remain responsible for informing your members about bots you add, consistent with your own community's rules and applicable law.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain server tracking data for as long as the Moonsys bot remains in your server, so that your growth history stays available. If the bot is removed from a server, we retain that server's data for up to 30 days in case it is re-added, after which it is deleted. Account data tied to a dashboard login is retained until you request deletion or your account becomes inactive for an extended period. You can request deletion of your server's data or your account data at any time by contacting us (Section 8).
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing (for example, under the GDPR if you are in the EEA/UK, or the CCPA/CPRA if you are a California resident). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email in Section 8; we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If you believe we have not addressed your request appropriately, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under Discord's own minimum age requirement (currently 13, or higher where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided us data in violation of this policy, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data we hold, including access controls on our infrastructure. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Data Transfers
Data we collect may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States, by us or by the infrastructure providers we use to run the Service. Where required, we take steps intended to ensure such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards.
10. Cookies and Session Data
The dashboard uses a session cookie or token to keep you signed in after you authenticate with Discord. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
12. Contact
Questions about this Privacy Policy, or requests regarding your data, can be sent to [email protected].
